$50
Breakfast for two in the Lantern Room, with johnnycakes, Captain's hash and a pot of tea, and enough left over for a bag of scones to take home.
Gift cards
A gift card in any amount from $50, good for a room, a dinner in the old chapel, a round in the Undertaker's Parlor, or a Sunday reading with Madame Corvina. Sent by email or in the post, in an envelope sealed with wax.
You choose the amount, from $50 up, in whole dollars. If you'd like a starting point, these are what people most often send, and roughly what they'll buy:
Breakfast for two in the Lantern Room, with johnnycakes, Captain's hash and a pot of tea, and enough left over for a bag of scones to take home.
Two places on the Lantern Ghost Walk and a round of house cocktails afterward, or two Tarot & Tea readings with Madame Corvina on a Sunday afternoon.
The five-course Ledger tasting for two, with wine pairing, or close to it once you've added a glass of Madeira at the end. (Tax and gratuity are extra.)
A night in most of our rooms outside October, breakfast included. $500 covers a midweek night in the Widow's Walk Suite with dinner on top.
Anything the house sells directly:
Gift cards can't be used for wedding packages or wedding deposits, for rooms booked through third-party travel sites (we can't see those payments, so we can't apply the card), or exchanged for cash.
Gift cards are valid for at least seven years from the date of purchase, as Massachusetts law requires, and in practice we've never refused an old one; a guest arrived last spring with a card from 2017 and Samuel honored it with something close to delight. Lost cards can be replaced if you have the card number or the original confirmation email. Gift cards are not valid with some promotional offers; we'll say so in the offer. Purchase of a gift card doesn't guarantee availability, especially in October, so encourage the lucky person to book early.
Gift cards bought from the previous owners of the inn (before 2014) can't be redeemed, which we're sorry about; that was a different business.
