Request a reservation

Tell us when you'd like to come and which room you have your eye on. A real person (usually Samuel) reads every request, checks the calendar and writes back within one business day to confirm.

How it works

Send the form below. This is a request, not a confirmed reservation, and your card is not charged.
We reply by email within one business day with availability and the total for your stay, or with the nearest dates and rooms we do have.
To confirm, you call us or reply with a card to hold the room. We charge a deposit of the first night and send a written confirmation. Then it's yours.

October requests: for any stay touching an October weekend, the minimum is 3 nights and our cancellation window is 30 days. The Nursery, the Widow's Walk Suite and the Apothecary are usually booked a year ahead. If your heart is set on a particular room, give us a second choice or tick "Let the innkeeper choose."

This sends a request, not a booking. We reply within one business day; in October, allow two. Your card is not charged until you confirm.

Before you send

Can I book online and get an instant confirmation?

Not yet. We're a small house with nine rooms, each one a little different, and we've found that a short exchange with a person saves a lot of disappointment about stairs, bathtubs and bed sizes. We're working on online booking. We have been working on it since 2019.

What's included in the rate?

Your room, breakfast in the Lantern Room for everyone staying in it, Wi-Fi, on-site parking when available (valet in October is $25 a night), the courts, bikes and lawn games, and the Thursday history talk. Taxes are extra.

Can I book a table at The Ledger at the same time?

Yes; tell us in the notes and we'll book it for you. Dinner is Wednesday to Sunday, 5:00 to 9:30 pm (10:30 on Fridays and Saturdays), and every day in October. You can also write to table@cranelantern.example.

I'm booking for a wedding.

If you're a guest at a wedding here, mention the couple's names in the notes so we can apply any room block. If you're the couple, please start with our wedding inquiry; events@cranelantern.example handles weddings and buyouts.
